About This Site

Editorial Policy

How research sources are selected, how evidence is graded, and how editorial decisions are kept independent of commercial relationships.

Educational only; not medical advice.

Source Selection

Content on Boswellia.com is based on published scientific literature: peer-reviewed clinical trials, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, mechanistic studies (identified as such and not extrapolated to clinical outcomes), pharmacokinetic studies, and safety reports. Sources are identified primarily through PubMed/MEDLINE searches. We do not rely on manufacturer literature or press releases as primary sources. Where manufacturer-funded research is cited, funding source is disclosed.

Evidence Grading System

Every health topic on this site carries an evidence grade reflecting the overall quality and consistency of published evidence. When in doubt, we grade conservatively.

Language Standards

Prohibited language

The following terms are not used in content on this site: "proven," "clinically proven," "treats," "cures," "prevents," "heals," "reverses," "powerful," "highly effective," "confirms," "miracle," "breakthrough."

Condition language

We do not write "Boswellia treats arthritis." We write "Boswellia extracts have been evaluated in clinical trials involving individuals with osteoarthritis." One describes a treatment claim; the other describes a research activity.

Conflict of Interest Policy
